Learn Words Lite app for iPhone and iPad

LearnWords is a small app designed to improve your vocabulary. You get to decide which words to learn.
Along with animated word cards LearnWords offers dictation and speech recognition exercises to help memorizing the words. Each word has its progress indicator. Study your way: you may manually mark the word as known or unknown, skip words. Whenever you might want to look up the word in an extended dictionary you can. Just download it beforehand — for free.
You can make your own word sets for lessons, books and more. There is export/import capability which lets you share and exchange word sets. You can add words one by one or import them from text files or as text from any other app via share action. This will add several words at once to the current word set. The text for the import should consist of rows of type "foreign word : native word, native synonym". If you stumble upon an interesting word you can share this single word to LearnWords — it will offer to add it to the current set.

Speech recognition requires internet connection. Other features work offline.
The app itself gathers no data, contains no advertisement.
